About me
I’m Sebastian Segura, a visual artist from Bogotá, Colombia, currently designing wooden toys at Bajo, a renowned toy manufacturer in Poland. My work explores the intersection of art, design, and play, with a special focus on mechanical and interactive objects.
This website showcases my experiments in material, form, and function, challenging the idea of what a toy can be. Through these creations, I aim to craft objects that are not just for play, but for curiosity, connection, and discovery.

I hold a Master’s in Visual Arts from the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague, and since 2020, I’ve been shaping playful, thoughtfully crafted designs at Bajo. Over time, I’ve become increasingly aware of the role humor and wonder play in design. I believe these qualities make objects more relatable, adding warmth and emotion to the human experience—something especially valuable in today’s world of overwhelming technology and digital alienation.

Research
During my two years at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, I explored a new dimension of my practice. In the Concept–Object–Meaning Studio led by Eva Eisler, I expanded beyond toys to create jewelry and wearable objects, approaching them with the same sense of play and joy. Learning metalworking techniques has been one of the most exciting additions to my toolkit and has become central to my recent work.
