Galapagos

This series of four pull toys, developed for Bajo, draws inspiration from the Galapagos Archipelago, a place that has long fascinated me for its unique beauty and its historic role in shaping our understanding of nature. It was partly thanks to the local fauna that Charles Darwin formulated his theory of evolution and the origin of species.

Each toy represents one of the archipelago’s iconic creatures and their distinctive forms of movement. I used triangular wheels to suggest a playful, irregular rhythm, as a nod to the unpredictable and surprising ways animals adapt and move through the world. The result is a collection that is both educational and joyful, inviting children and adults to engage with ideas of diversity, motion, and curiosity through play.
